Our Story

By offering paid programs, through team-building, life coaching, and outdoor learning, we are able to generate sustainable income. This income is channeled directly back into the core mission of Lifesong Kenya, funding our work with at-risk youth, young mothers, and our vital community initiatives. .

From Personal Journey to a Greater Purpose

"I want people to imagine what it feels like to grow up without knowing what you're worth and live without purpose in life. That's the reality facing millions of boys and young men who are growing without a dad or a father-figure around the world." — Hawi james Ouma, Lifesong Kenya

Born for Greatness is more than a business; it’s a testament to the belief that every individual has the power to overcome adversity and lead a life of purpose. This program was born from the personal story of James Ouma, the founder of Lifesong Kenya, who understands the profound impact of guidance and mentorship.

James’s journey was marked by a difficult childhood after he lost his father at a young age. He faced low self-esteem and a lack of confidence, feeling destined for failure. However, a turning point came during a challenging period in his life when he found himself in a police cell for a crime he didn’t commit.

Inside, he met young men who shared their struggles, sparking in him a desire to become a beacon of hope for others. This experience led him to create Lifesong Kenya, an organization dedicated to providing education, healing, and skill development to youth and their families.
